About the company
Kavetler exists to turn careful, dependable people into skilled remote data workers — and to give employers reliable teams they can trust.
Modern software runs on data that real people have checked, sorted and labelled. Kavetler organises that work into proper jobs — with training, structure and a way up.
Kavetler started in 2021 with a simple observation: across Africa there is an enormous pool of literate, motivated, internet-connected people, and a fast-growing global need for exactly the kind of screen-based data work they can do brilliantly from home. The gap was never talent. It was the on-ramp — someone to teach the tools, set clear standards, and pay fairly and on time.
So we built that on-ramp. We began with a handful of annotation associates in Lagos, added a content-review team in Nairobi, and now run distributed pods across Nigeria, Kenya and Egypt. Everyone starts with paid onboarding, works to written guidelines, and has a named lead who reviews their work and helps them grow.
Our teams sit behind the scenes of everyday technology. They label images and text so machine-learning models can learn from them, review user-submitted content against published community rules, keep operational records clean, and quality-check the output of other teams. It is calm, structured, guideline-driven work — the kind where being careful and consistent is worth more than being fast.
We are deliberately an entry-level employer. Most of the people we hire have never had an office or tech job. That is the point: we would rather teach the right person from scratch than fight over scarce experience.
What we stand for
Clear stipend bands, honest expectations, and pay that arrives on schedule. No vague promises, no upfront fees — ever.
We hire for attitude and train for skill. If you are reliable and willing to learn, a lack of experience is not a barrier here.
Real onboarding, real leads, real feedback. Working from home should feel supported, not like being left on your own.
How remote work runs

A quick call or written exercise so we understand your strengths and match you to a track.
Two structured weeks learning the tools, the guidelines and the quality bar for your role.
Start real work in a small team with a named lead, regular feedback and a clear review cycle.
The essentials
The requirements are deliberately modest. If you can read and write clearly in English, follow written instructions and show up reliably, you can build a career here.
We read every application ourselves. Take ten minutes and introduce yourself.
